Korean singer and actor.

His real name is Lee Ji-eun, and his stage name IU means, "You and I become one through music."[49] He debuted as a singer in 2008 at the age of 15. In 2010, he emerged as a national star with the title of a national younger sister  and has steadily enjoyed popularity as an idol and artist based on his attractive tone and outstanding lyric and composition skills. Since 2012, it has also held large-scale concerts every year and has been active as a performer.

In addition to his singing career, he has appeared in various entertainment programs, and is also active as a number of advertising models.[54] Since his debut as an actor in 2011, he has been actively acting in various dramas and movies.[55] He is Korea's leading all-around entertainer recognized as an all-rounder in the entertainment industry, and for this reason, he is consistently regarded as a role model for many idols.
